YOUR DONATION... WILL HELP TO IMPROVE

THE LIVES OF CHILDREN, TEEN AND YOUNG

PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES.

WHY THE SCHOLARSHIPS?

Mariuxi Muñoz (AVINNFA's Vice-President)

    When the INNFA Volunteers Association began its activities in 1988, its financial sustainability was entirely based on the contributions of its registered members. A year later, the project called Center for Rehabilitation and Specialized Education (CREE) AVINNFA-MILAGRO was created the parents of twelve children with disabilities signed up to receive our services. A brand new group of  professionals were part of the staff; who delivered their voluntary-solidarity contribution during a complete school year.

    In 1989, AVINNFA filled a need for Milagro city and its area of influence because there was no state or private institution that catered to the population of children, youth and adolescents with disabilities; it was AVINNFA who developed the Project of the Center, fighting most of the time against adversities. From that date, sporadically, we have received blessings in various ways, by some private institutions and people who are now part of our history; they have collaborated at the time with the construction and implementation of classrooms, the metalic structure of the roof, the playground; for its part, the Ministry of Education, after long efforts of the Volunteer, gave us eight teachers under state contracts, of which, we have now only three teachers by order of the new authorities of the District.

    Currently, the CREE-AVINNFA Organization Chart is made up of: 3 professionals paid by the Ministry of Education (1 Teacher and 2 Therapists); 3 professionals in different branches under the Shared Risk mode (Self-management); 6 professional and administrative contracts under the responsibility of AVINNFA; and 7 Technical-Pedagogical Volunteers. To be able on sustaining the work that we have been doing  just with the purpose to serve the population of children, teens, adolescents and young people with disabilities, we need the solidarity collaboration of the anyone who wants to be part of the Sponsorship Plan (See brochure), so that our studentes can continue to exercise their right to  a specialized, functional and inclusive education.

MILAGRO CITY HALL, led by Mayor Ing. Francisco Asán Wongsan is our greatest benefactor, with 40% of the basic budget required; the MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, which to this date gives us one (1) Teacher and Two (2) Therapists during restricted hours. DEVIES Corporation, the Rotary Club of Milagro and Roxana Enterprises, who continue supporting us in solidarity.

The other support via ongoing AGREEMENTS does not necessarily have to do with money, but of social mobilization, awareness and inclusion; these are:

PRE-PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT (with the internship of the students of the State University of Milagro (UNEMI), in various branches);

STUDENT PARTICIPATION (Dr. José María Velasco Ibarra Educational Unit, pioneer in this area, Alec Peterson Educational Unit and CORCIFOP a private Corporation).

LINK WITH THE COMMUNITY (School for Parents, private companies that receive staff from the Center).
